Hypertext and the Remediation of Print

The point of this was to argue that electronic writing is simply just more convenient for authors to use instead of written writing or forms of writing such as the typewriter. This group makes this claim by stating that electronic writing allows you to change the structure of your writing to make it look however you want whereas the typewriter forced you to write in a very linear format. Also they stated that electronic writing allows for others to add on to your thoughts and build on them. They used the example of Twitter to explain this. They said that once you place your thoughts on to Twitter anyone has the right to read what you have written and comment on it whether it be positive or negative. They also argued that remediation of print is just a pathway towards our "final destination," or in simpler terms,  media. Hypertext moves barriers.
